~ Today I am Grateful for ... ~

"Gratitude is the axe for the
frozen sea inside us."

This is it.  Today is your day ...
write, write, write your gratitude's during the day.

In spite of the chaos, mess of life - there is always a
gift
right in front of our very eyes,
quietly existing
in between it all.
Silently there, waiting to be claimed.
Open your eyes
and find it.

It doesn't have to be complex.
Gratitude is simple.
It could be: "waking up to a new day."
Or
"making it through another day."

Simple as:
"spending time with a friend"
"a smile from a stranger"
"hug, kiss, wink."

Just grab a hold of it - seize the moment -claim it and
write.
And then feel free to come into this little quiet corner of
cyberspace world and
share.
By sharing you will bless, inspire, motivate, enlighten
others you don't even know.

This "gratitude experiment" is a challenge, a dare ... a
journey.
A new life of
wonder
for you to awaken to and live.

The magic of your heart expanding is just one of the
many
"side effects" that you might experience :  )

If there are at least 7 post's a day ... we could reach over 2,000
gratitude's
by the end of the year!

Let's do it!  Even in the mess & chaos of every day life ...
find it

 It's always there in the moments, just waiting to be found
as if hunted by you - the hunter.

Post as much as your heart desires each day, and then
come back tomorrow and
share more.

Ready??? ... WRITE!  : )

Always remember:

"Gratitude precedes the Miracle." Always.
-Ann Voskamp

Here's to changing lives.  Yours.  Mine.  The world.

  18. I am grateful first and foremost for my Father God. If it were not for him, there just wouldn't be a me. I am grateful for my Savior Jesus, without him I wouldn't have a "life," nor would I want to face eternity. I am grateful for my husband. If it were not for the healing touch of Jesus, I wouldn't have him with me today~and I wouldn't want to travel this jouney called life without him by my side. I am grateful for our 8 kids, for without them...we wouldn't have our 9 amazing grand-kids. I am grateful for my parents. My birth parents for giving me life, and my non-birth parents (I was raised by a Godly step-mother who has blessed me with a Godly step-father) for raising me in Christ. She was the potter's hands that have molded me into the Godly woman I am today. I am just so grateful for life. At one point in life I looked directly into the face of death, it was then I realized there was just so much to live for.
    To finish my list...I am sooo grateful for Men and Women of God. I am now an only child (after loosing my only brother/sibling 6 yrs ago,) so it's nice to have brothers & sisters in Christ to laugh with, cry with, sing with, worship with, and to enjoy this journey called life with.
    Thank you for sharing your piece of the net world with me, and may God bless you in abundance.

  36. 1:27 a.m~Today I am grateful for a "quiet" house, the snoring of my sleeping husband whistling in harmony with the snoring of my sleeping dogs. My mini grand-father's clock ticking in rhythm with my beating heart. The spring time breeze dancing through my opened window and kissing my cheeks. The soft quiet voice of my Heavenly Father saying "I am with thee always my child, and at this moment...all is right with the world." My child like spirit responding with "Thank You Father for always being with me, even when walking through this valley of death called life." A sister-in-Christ providing a secret garden to list all that I am grateful for. And last (but not least)... (((big hugs))) :)

  38. While having my coffee out on the patio this morning, I watched the performance of two cardinals. The male, as always a beautiful vibrant red, was perched on a link of my fench basking in the early morning sun. His ordinary colored, plain jane female was bounching around the yard looking for, and gathering the "perfect" twigs for their new home. I thought to myself "Now that's just not right! Mr. vanity there is just loafing around while his sweet little lady is doing all the work." My old tom cat seen them as well and decided to try to creep up on the female while she was busy at work...oooo but Mr. Vanity was not going to have any of that and started swooping in on Ringo squawking up a storm. Needless to say Ringo changed his mind about cardinal for breakfast ;) Then Mr. Vanity perched himself right back on the fench, and his Lady Love went right back to work. After several minutes Lady Love flew over and perched herself next to her seemingly lazy mate. He made a mad dash to our freshly tilled garden and began digging and hunting for the "perfect" worm. Once he found his treasure, he flew right back and lovingly offered it to his Lady's opened mouth. He did this three times before her appetite was sated and right back to work she went with even more diligence. Meanwhile Mr. "Night in Shining Armor" stood fixed in his position as her guard. Well, needless to say, my opinion of the male cardinal completely changed. Watching this performance made me think of my own dear beloved Husband. How he stands guard o'er me, always ready to protect me. How, though he can not work his 12-14 hr days as a rig operator any longer, he does do work for me that the "worlds" eyes do not see. How he faithfully has a delicious meal prepared and waiting for me when I come home from working 8-10 hrs of hard labor (I own/operate a professional cleaning service to suppliment his disability income.) Yes the actions of one seemingly vain and lazy cardinal stirred with-in me great feelings of gratitude for "my" Mr. Knight in shining armor.

  39. I found you through my daughter Kathryn. I must say she is right, beautiful and inspiring writings.
    I am grateful that God gave a sinner like me another chance.
    I am grateful that Jesus loved me so much that he would actually die for me.
    I am so grateful that after 35+ years of NOT having my daughter in my life that God brought us back together.
    I am grateful that after 50+ years of being divorced from the love of my life (Kathryn's Dad) God brought us back together, reunited us in marriage, and has put our family back together.
    I am grateful that God has brought my husband through three different cancers, and allowed us yet more time together here on earth.
    I am grateful to my daughter Kathryn for leading me to Jesus, and for showing me that He IS the way, the truth, and the light.
    I'm just plumb grateful for....LIFE :)

    My dog Lucky - so sweet following me everywhere.

    Hard working hubby.

    The amazing light/shadows of the rain clouds. Mirror into heaven.

    Memorizing moments of my silly 18 yr. old son...

    Safety, security, comfort.

    Learning lessons.

    Trials, challenges.

    Enduring, hope, love.

  48. After a couple of weeks not counting daily gifts - I truly felt a void in my deep-heart soul. Counting again, I realized that joy was missing. Counting - no matter what is happening in my life or my circumstances, opened my eyes again to His gifts. His proof of love for me. Hope.

    Count daily with me and never stop counting!

    * Remembering to count again!

    * Figuring out how to work out life's challenges one step at a time.

    * Tall meadow grass swaying in Spring breeze on our morning walk.

    * Birds song - everywhere! "Spring is here!!"

    * A day with my dear, dear friend who always finds time for me. True therapy for the soul.

    * Hope

    * Faith

    * Love

    * Forgiveness

    * Enduring

    * Kind words

    * Health

    * Sunshine on my shoulders

    * Hard working hubby. Always. Everywhere he goes.

    * Heavenly Father carrying me when I can't walk.
